Mission Statement

Eight/KAET is a trusted community resource that enriches the lives of all Arizonans through quality programs and education services that inform, inspire and delight.

We specialize in the education of children, unbiased news & public affairs, lifelong learning, and the celebration of arts and culture. We accomplish this through the power of noncommercial television, the Internet, other media, educational outreach services, and other community-based initiatives.

In partnership with Arizona State University, Eight serves as a trusted, independent catalyst for community involvement.

Eight/KAET Vision
Eight will become an essential service available to and valued by all Arizonans, guided by community interests and values, and aided by our non-commercial status, independence, and local ownership.

Capitalizing on our unique role, we will promote and stimulate local culture, encourage civic participation, foster public dialogue and educate and inform in ways that provide new opportunities for Arizonans to improve their lives and livelihoods.

Eight wants all Arizonans to be more involved in the future of our children, community and state.
