1964 Beatles Tribute at Celebrity Theatre, Nov. 16

1964-Beatles-Tribute

PERFORMANCE TIME: 8 p.m.

History says The Beatles played their last live concert Aug. 29, 1966, but you can see and hear their legacy live, thanks to “1964: The Tribute.”

Rolling Stone magazine declared the band to be the “Best Beatles Tribute on Earth.” The master musicians in this faux Fab Four have elevated their performance far beyond that of a “tribute act.”

For nearly 30 years and more than 2,700 performances, they have re-created the sensation and euphoria of the Beatles coming to the United States for the first time, specializing in songs from the pre-“Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” era.

On November 16, “1964: The Tribute” returns to Phoenix’s Celebrity Theatre to celebrate the legacy of the Beatles, with a look and sound that even John, Paul, George and Ringo would admire.
