Learn why ‘Her Secret is Patience’ is so important to Downtown Phoenix

More from this show

Standing eye level with some of the tallest buildings in Downtown Phoenix is the amazing steel sculpture, “Her Secret is Patience.” It is the center point of the Civic Space Park across from the ASU Cronkite Building. The sculpture was designed to resemble a cactus flower in bloom; the steel structure is a feat of art and science. The art visualized by Tampa-based artist Janet Echelman and the science and engineering part carried out by Arizona companies. It is considered a main attraction to the area and is a point of pride for the City. We will interview a city employee who was involved in the project to explain its deep meaning to the community and why it was so important to make this piece of art.
