The Detour Theatre Company provides a unique opportunity for kids and young adults with special needs

More from this show

Sam started the Detour Theatre Company after realizing her son with special needs had nowhere to fulfill his dream of performing in a play or musical. Detour Theatre Company is a theatre company entirely made up of young kids and young adults with special needs. They perform three to four musicals a year for the public at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts. Each member is paired up with a “buddy” that helps them learn their lines and stage direction.
