Local and national news become one for Phoenix residents last week as President Trump began the week with a visit to Phoenix Tuesday, and ended it with the pardon of former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpiao.

Monday
Congressman Gallego joined “Arizona Horizon” to discuss his thoughts on President Trump and Arizona.

Some of the white supremacists who marched in Charlottesville have been fired by their employers after being identified as a participant. Those fired were exercising their First Amendment rights learn as we talk about the potential consequences of exercising your first amendment right.

Tuesday
Phoenix took extre precautions when preparing for President Trump’s rally at the Phoenix Convention Center, given the recent violence in Charlottesville. Crowds remained mostly peacefuluntil later in the evening, when crowds were dispersed by police through the use of tear gas and pepper balls.

Wednesday
President Trump went on a prolonged attack against the media in his speech in Phoenix, lashing out at media for condemning his remarks in the wake of the violence in Charlottesville. President Trump visited the border near Yuma during his visit to Arizona in his continued push for a border wall, a plan that environmentalists say would have a dire impact on plants and animals living along the border.
