Real estate, a seller’s market, faces possible pitfalls

More from this show

The Phoenix real estate market has turned into a seller’s market, with prices climbing and new homebuilding moving along at the fastest pace in ten years. However, despite the good news, there are areas of concern. Tariffs by the Trump administration could result in Canadian tariffs on materials used to build homes, like lumber, aluminum and steel. Also, homebuilders are facing a lack of skilled workers. Mark Stapp, the executive director of the Masters of Real Estate Development program at Arizona State University, will explain what’s happening in Phoenix’s real estate market.
