Report: Elections decided by those who don’t vote

A new report shows that 45 percent, or just over two million Arizona residents, who could vote didn’t. That puts Arizona at 43rd nationwide in voter participation, with the authors of the report saying that people are making choices in our elections be not voting. The report, titled “Arizona’s Voter Crisis,” has actionable steps that can be taken to improve voter participation. It was commissioned by the Citizens Clean Elections Commission and conducted by Arizona State University’s Morrison Institute. Tom Collins, executive director of the commission, and Joe Garcia of the Morrison Institute, will tell us more about the report and what it suggests to help fix Arizona’s voter crisis.
