Drought Contingency Plan moves forward

Plans to handle a shortage of Colorado River water moved forward as the Central Arizona Water Conservation District and the Arizona Department of Water Resources released a new Drought Contingency Plan to help protect Lake Mead. The plan still needs more work and Gov. Doug Ducey plans to advocate for $30 million to fund the plan. We get more from Ted Cooke, general manager of the Central Arizona Project, and Tom Buschatzke, director of the department of water resources.
