Association for Training on Trauma and Attachment in Children

More from this show

ATTACh, or the Association for Training on Trauma and Attachment in Children, is a national organization that provides training, an international annual conference, parent support, resources and referrals in developmental trauma and attachment disorders caused by early abuse and neglect. According to ATTACh, 40% of all adults and children fall somewhere on the spectrum of having a less than a secure attachment, and that can be tied into many current issues such as separation of children from their parents at the border, mass shootings, suicides and opioid use. ATTACh will hold its annual conference in Scottsdale. We’ll talk to Mary McGowan, executive director of ATTACh and Thomas Ahearn, board president of ATTACh.
