Urban fruit trees

More from this show

Over the past 20 years, The Urban Farm and its Fruit Tree Program has helped to both educate the public on urban farming and has grown a significant amount of food in Phoenix, helping to feed the community. The Fruit Tree Program has sold nearly 37,000 trees in the last 20 years and 80% of them are still alive. An average of at least 25 pounds of fruit are produced per year from each tree. We’ll hear more about the program from Greg Peterson, founder of The Urban Farm.
