Corporation Commission hearing on utility shutoffs

More from this show

The Arizona Corporation Commission held a hearing Monday to talk about possible rule changes about when utilities can shut off power for those who don’t pay their bills on time when it’s really hot. Emergency rules were set in place earlier this year but the commission is looking for permanent rules. We hear more from Diane Brown of Arizona PIRG, an organization that advocates for the public interest, and citizen activist Stacey Champion.
