COVID-19 pandemic delays cancer screenings, treatment

Fears of contracting COVID-19 are resulting in folks avoiding other healthcare needs, including cancer screenings. Indeed, a recent estimate shows that nearly 22 million cancer screenings could be interrupted by the pandemic, risking delayed or missed diagnoses for some 80 thousand Americans this year. Arizona Horizon’s Allysa Adams talked about this concern with Pat Basu, CEO of Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
