Travel author ‘plays hooky’ to get through tough times

More from this show

It’s easy to become overwhelmed during this time of the pandemic. Could “playing hooky” help curb that stress? Arizona Horizon spoke with travel author Roger Naylor who is known for “playing hooky” and says that it can reduce stress while having a little fun.

According to Naylor, hooky is “what you take for yourself.”

One of his favorite places to play hooky is Dead Horse Ranch State Park. There, Naylor enjoys hiking through the limestone hills, a section of the Verde River, and three lagoons.

Naylor suggests for those that would like to play hooky for themselves to find something that gets their mind off the regular day.
