Maricopa County officials work to make voting safer, easier

Maricopa County is addressing election concerns regarding COVID-19 by offering more options for early voting by mail and in person. We spoke to Maricopa County Recorder, Adrian Fontes about the county’s plans to make voting easier and safer.
According to Fontes, 1.8 million people will be receiving a vote-by-mail ballot for the August 4th primary election in Maricopa County.
Compared to past elections, voters will have the option to go to one of more than sixty voting centers up to two weeks in advance. You can find the nearest voting center to you here.
Those that decide to vote in person can expect masks to be required and surfaces commonly touched to be cleaned.
For those that would like to vote by mail, you have up until July 24th to request a mail-in ballot.
