PAC-12 Cancels Fall Sports

The PAC-12 conference announced this week that all fall sports will be postponed until January. We spoke with ASU athletic director, Ray Anderson, about what went into making the decision.

On Tuesday the PAC-12 CEO group voted unanimously to postpone all sports competitions through the end of the 2020 calendar year.

Furthermore, the announcement comes after lengthy talks with the PAC-12 #WeAreUnited unity group. A group made up of athletes throughout the PAC-12 conference.

Last week the group sent a letter to PAC-12 Commissioner Larry Scott about their concerns. The letter read in part the following:

Following the announcement, Anderson took to Twitter to voice his opinion.

While PAC-12 play won’t resume until 2021 teams will still be allowed to practice. For more on the full announcement click here.
