More from this show

Sloane McFarland opened The Welcome Diner in a 1940s pre-fab trailer in the Garfield neighborhood in 2004. McFarland is an artist and real estate developer interested in spaces and neighborhood connections. As the founder of The Welcome Diner, he has much to say about the Garfield neighborhood and the importance of the restaurant and the food they serve.
