Dina Nayeri

More from this show

Dina Nayeri was born in Iran and grew up during a time of revolution.

When she was 10 years old, Dina moved to the United States and began calling Oklahoma her home.

She has a Bachelor’s degree from Princeton and a Master’s in Education from Harvard.

Although, she is now primarily defined as an author, Dina worked in high fashion, management, consulting, university admissions, investment banking and as her website light-heartedly said “as a grumpy lifeguard.” Her brother Daniel worked alongside Dina for her first few novels.

They were a team and co-authored several books before Dina had her very first solo novel published.

Her first solo novel, “A Teaspoon of Earth and Sea,” has already been translated into 13 languages.

Dina currently lives with her husband in Amsterdam, where she is working on her second novel.

A Teaspoon of Earth and Sea" was featured on Books & Co. on May 12, 2013.
