Harlan Coben is an acclaimed novelist who holds the unique distinction of being the first author ever to win the Edgar Award, the Shamus Award and the Anthony Award.

He is perhaps best known for his flagship series starring sports agent and detective Myron Bolitar.

One of his specialties is the theme of normal people being blindsided by sudden tragedy.
