More from this show

John Lescroart is a New York Times bestselling author whose books have been translated into 16 languages in more than 75 countries.

He graduated from Cal Berkley and tried getting into the music industry whilst continuing to write.

His first novel, SUNBURN, won The Joseph Henry Jackson Award for best novel by a California author.

Later in life, he contracted spinal meningitis and was given two hours to live, however he survived it.

He took this near death experience and turned his life around – moving to northern California to write full-time.

This newfound devotion made him a bestselling author.
