Ted Simons, host and managing editor of “Arizona Horizon,” moderated a spirited debate among Republican candidates vying for Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District seat, soon to be vacated by Representative Ruben Gallego (D), who is running for U.S. Senate in 2024.

The district, encompassing parts of Phoenix including South Phoenix, Laveen, Maryvale, and some areas of Glendale, is a crucial battleground.

The debate featured David Mendoza, an engineer and former teacher, and Jeffrey Zink, a minister and small business owner, both presenting their visions for the future of the district.
