The Thumb serves down-home barbecue by an experienced and friendly staff. According to general manager Michael Lawson, there is a lot going on at The Thumb. “It’s just a gas station — with award-winning barbecue, gift store, of course a gas station and homemade pastries, just a little bit of everything. ” The Thumb is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but if it’s barbecue you are after, Lawson says you may want to come early, “sometimes if you come in 7 or 8 o’clock, we may be done for the night.”
