Spokes on Southern: A bike-themed bar and grill

More from this show

Looking for a fun and unique dining experience in Arizona? Look no further than Spokes on Southern, a bike-themed bar and grill that offers a little something for everyone. Whether you’re a die-hard cycling enthusiast or just looking for a great spot to hang out with friends, Spokes on Southern is the perfect destination.

With a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, Spokes on Southern offers a diverse menu featuring everything from turkey sliders to carne asada tacos, salmon salad to pepper burgers. The star of the show, however, is their wide selection of craft brews from Arizona and around the world, including 26 local beers.

As with other bike-themed restaurants, it caters to the cycling community. Patrons are encouraged to ride their bicycles to the restaurant and lock them up in the back. The owners, a husband and wife team who also own the popular “Boulders on Broadway” restaurant, are avid cyclists themselves and have created a space that reflects their love of the sport.

“Check, Please! Arizona” guest Christina McCarty loves dining at Spokes on Southern. “To me, it is a little bit different from a regular bar and grill because everything is very fresh,” McCarty said, adding, “They have this stuffed poblano on the menu that is just such an amazing experience.”

Guest Louie Flores enjoys the Brussels sprouts, describing them as “crispy.” As an entree, he enjoys the mushroom Swiss burger, explaining that it’s “amazing, the textures, the taste between the mushroom and the Swiss cheese, they were just dancing with each other.”

Guest Violet Ponce-Vowel orders the spinach enchiladas with black beans and rice. “The flavors were really fresh, it wasn’t too spicy, all the ingredients tasted like they are really sourced,” Ponce-Vowel said.

In addition to its bike-themed decor, Spokes on Southern boasts a huge patio that borders a pond, with plenty of indoor seating as well. Take a stroll around the pond, and then play some outdoor games on the grassy area. The patio is also dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friends along for the ride.
