Saturday includes a bull rider meet-and-greet from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. and an after-party concert at Wild Horse Pass at 9:30 p.m. \nTickets start at $30; discounts available for kids\, military and GRIC members. \nThe event will feature 35 of the top bull riders in the world\, including champions Stetson Wright and Ky Hamilton\, matched up against 35 elite bucking bulls in the opening round. The eight highest scores will advance to the championship round\, where riders face off against the fiercest bulls in the sport for the Xtreme Bulls title.  \nAttendees can expect world-class competition with scores regularly pushing into the high 90s.  \nThe rider lineup includes reigning champions and rising stars\, alongside legendary bulls known for delivering explosive performances. The two-hour show will move fast\, hit hard and leave fans wanting more\, whether they’re lifelong rodeo followers or first-time attendees.

Crismon Road\, in Mesa. The community charity swim welcomes swimmers of all ages and skill levels who are passionate about diving in to fight cancer\, with proceeds benefitting cancer research at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Participants may choose from a 1/2-mile swim\, a 1-mile swim or a fun Team Relay; for those unable to participate in person\, a virtual SAA My Way option is also available. In its first year\, the event aims to raise $60\,000 to support cancer research and care in the Phoenix community. Seating for the History Forum is General Admission\, and the concession stand will be open. There will be a lunch break from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. A catered lunch will be available at the Hassayampa Inn’s Marina Room\, with sandwiches and salads of your choice. Meet the History Forum speakers and relax before returning to the Elks Theatre for the afternoon sessions.  \nAfter the History Forum on Saturday\, there will be a grave marker dedication for JD Kinnear’s grave at the Pioneer’s Home Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. There is no charge to attend the dedication. In 2024\, Whiskey Row Historian Bradley G. Courtney and researcher D. Sue Kissell learned the exact location of the house where John Henry “Doc” Holliday lived during his time in Prescott. It was located off Montezuma Street in what is now the parking lot between Bashford Courts and Yavapai Title. A fundraising effort was launched to create a bronze plaque commemorating the location\, and the plaque was placed by the City of Prescott in their easement. A wildly successful unveiling event followed\, and the committee elected to continue to celebrate Doc Holliday’s Prescott tenure with an annual event on the weekend closest to Doc’s birthday of August 14. \nA commemorative booklet\, “Doc Holliday in Prescott”\, written by Bradley Courtney\, will be available at the event\, as will books and artwork by the History Forum presenters. Stuart Rosebrook\, Executive Director of Sharlot Hall Museum\, will emcee the History Forum as well as Doc’s Birthday Party and Whiskey/Cigar Tasting. \nThe Hassayampa Inn\, 928-778-9434\, and Hotel St. Michael\, 928-776-1999\, are the host hotels for the event. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a family-friendly advocacy walk at Mesa Riverview Park supporting individuals and families affected by alopecia areata\, a medical condition that causes sudden hair loss and can profoundly affect self-esteem. We’re excited to offer shaved ice\, gift cards\, an Arizona Cardinals football and other fun activities! More than 200 people participated last year\, and we look forward to welcoming even more members of our community this year. Come help us raise awareness\, build connections and support alopecia research. The event is free\, and we hope to see you there!
