The 50th Anniversary of the most momentous achievement in human history is coming up July 16, the first man on the Moon. We take a look at current space achievements in our Arizona Horizon Space Special. We start with a look at Arizona State University’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera team, which is celebrating 10 years of taking beautiful photographs of the Moon on board NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. We hear about that from the principal investigator, Mark Robinson, a professor at the ASU School of Earth and Space Exploration. Then we hear about a milestone in astronomy, the first pictures of a black hole. Philip Mauskopf, a professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration at ASU, fills us in. We also here about OSIRIS-REx, a mission to gather samples from an asteroid with equipment designed at ASU.
Ex-FBI profiler Inger Johanne Vik is drawn into investigating a series of brutal murders in Stockholm after her daughter becomes an unwitting witness to a murder.
