Meet the host

Craig Bohmler

Based in Phoenix, Craig Bohmler is a devoted composer for the stage whose works have been widely performed in the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan. In addition to four operas and 14 musicals, 5 of which have premiered at the Phoenix Theatre Company, he has written numerous concerti, wind ensemble, choral and symphonic works. He was Composer-in-Residence for Arizona Opera from 2013-2017 where his opera “Riders of the Purple Sage” was premiered. He received the 2019 Arizona Governors Arts Award for individual artist.
