Sally L. Kitch

More from this show

“She probably could easily be described as a pioneer. She was one of the first feminist scholars who really helped push the boundaries and make women and gender studies become a discipline of its own. Previously people had studied the kinds of issues that she studies within disciplines such as social history or feminist thinking or literary criticism. It was people like Sally who really pushed the boundaries and help the economy see that the area of study really needed to be its own discipline.”
