Where we’ve been!
This fall, our staff shared resources and instructed the Family+Math Spatial Sense community event at the Pendergast Community Center in Phoenix.
We also spent the day at the SciTech Institute Summit at the Arizona Science Center distributing PBS resources, college scholarship and Arizona Early childhood workforce registry information. Our staff presented a session on “Tots and Tech: Appropriate and Educational Use in the Early Years.”
We also made a trip to Nebraska for the 2023 National Registry Alliance Conference and accepted an award for Innovation.
Sept. to Nov. 2023
This fall, our Education Outreach team has been busy! We have been to many events statewide, from participating at the SciTech Institute Summit at the Arizona Science Center to the bottom of the Grand Canyon to handing out resources to the Havasupai tribe. The team gave out helpful resources on dental health, scholarships, the registry and PBS swag. We also celebrated the winners of the 2023 Arizona PBS Digital Video Contest.
Mar. to May 2023
Spring was a busy time for the Arizona PBS Education team! Events like community fairs, education conferences and Dr. Seuss’ birthday sent the team across the state to meet Arizona families and educators. The team gave out activity books, crafts and dental health goodie bags in places like Bullhead City, Yuma and Avondale.
Dec. 2022 to Feb. 2023
The Education team spent the winter celebrating the holidays and giving back to the community. At Christmas in the Park in Parker, the team helped families make holiday crafts. And team members delivered presents like books and puzzles to the Safe House Shelter in Yuma.
