Florence Project provides free legal services in immigration cases

More from this show

The Florence Project provides free legal services to men, women, and unaccompanied children detained by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). There is no public defender system in immigration court – essentially, if an immigrant can not hire an attorney, then they have to represent themselves. The organization has recently expanded their network of pro bono (volunteer) attorneys to represent detained immigrants. Florence Project attorneys Larry Levi Sandigo and Cindy Villanueva will talk about increasing pro bono efforts.
