Meet The Phoenix Symphony’s resident conductor

More from this show

The Phoenix Symphony has been a part of the Phoenix art landscape since 1947. Each year, the Symphony presents a full season of classical and pops concerts. In 2014, Matthew Kasper took the baton at age 32 and is currently the resident conductor of The Phoenix Symphony and Music Director of The Phoenix Youth Symphony. Kasper is a trained violinist and performed with the Chicago Civic Orchestra. We will talk with Matthew about the Symphony, becoming conductor and how that differs from his role as a performer. He also notes that though he is rather young to be a conductor, that can work for him in positive ways. https://www.phoenixsymphony.org/
