Talking Politics with Arizona Campaign Leaders

Daniel Scarpinato, Chief of Staff to Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, and Sarah Elliot, Arizona State Director, The Impact Project, visited Arizona State University’s campus to discuss the 2018 gubernatorial campaign.

This discussion stems from the idea of putting “politics over a country,” and pushing away people with different political ideologies. Both Sarah Elliot and Daniel Scarpinato emphasize the importance of sitting down and discussing politics and differences rather than pushing opposition away. The conversation is moderated by Paul Carrese, the Director of the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership and Maria Polletta of The Arizona Republic.

The School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership is providing an opportunity to have “civil discourses” with people who have different political beliefs.
