‘Horizonte’ features ‘No Sabo Kids’

Saturday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m.

Join host Catherine Anaya for a new episode of “Horizonte.”

“Horizonte” examines issues of particular interest to Arizona’s Hispanic community. Anaya interviews experts on subjects from public policy to education to arts and culture, with new voices, new perspectives and new energy.

In this episode, we discuss the movement among young Latinos in the U.S. who want to reclaim their Hispanic heritage but who don’t speak Spanish. The “No Sabo Kids” movement is a social media phenomenon, and joining us for the discussion is Stella Rouse, Director of the Hispanic Research Center and Professor in the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University, and Hope Gomez, a Political Science Ph.D. student at ASU who does not speak Spanish.
