Poco frontman reflects on lifetime on the road

More from this show

Country rock band Poco makes its way to Tuscon as part of their nationwide tour, nearly 50 years after the band was formed.

The band came together in 1968 with Richie Furay, Jim Messina and Rusty Young. Poco made its way to the top of the charts with their 1978 hit “Crazy Love.” Over the years, the band has released 19 studio albums, nine live albums and 24 singles.

Young, guitarist and vocalist for Poco, is the only member of the band who has stayed active with the group for its entire 49-year run.

“It’s gone by really, really quickly,” Young said. “I never thought I would be doing this 50 years later — and having as much fun as we’re having now.”

Poco’s tour runs from Nov. 4, 2017 to April 27, 2018.
