We talk with Former Arizona Legislator, Leah Landrum-Taylor about witnessing history for women and women of color. What this moment means to them to see the first female Vice President ever and the first woman of color in that role. Landrum-Taylor knows VP-Elect Harris. They were classmates. She talks about that briefly.
Landrum-Taylor discusses what it is like to be a mother with daughters in this historic time. Swearing in the first woman as vice president makes Landrum-Taylor feel like anything is possible. Landrum-Taylor says the African American women’s vote was extremely high this Election. We ask if Vice President Harris will be held to impossible standards. Vice President Harris has a lot of work ahead of her. We talk about what the next 4 years might look like with Harris as Vice President.
