Female engineers receive prestigious award

More from this show

Two local female engineers recently received the prestigious American Public Works Associations’ Top Ten Public Works Leader of the Year award. Maricopa County Department of Transportation engineer/director Jennifer Toth and Mesa city engineer Beth Huning both got the award. They are members of a relatively small group. About 14 percent of engineers are women, according to the Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Toth and Huning will talk about their careers and the need and effort to get more women into engineering.
