SixTripleEight Battalion

More from this show

At the end of World War Two, the only all-black female battalion was sent to England and France to clear a backlog of 17 million pieces of mail. Now, the story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, known as the “SixTripleEight,” is being told in a movie. We talk to Major Frannie Griffin McClendon, who served in the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion.
