Phoenix City Council approves plan to address housing shortage and homelessness

The Phoenix City Council recently approved its first plan to address the city’s housing shortage. It calls for adding housing options for all income levels with an emphasis on lower-income households. The plan includes policy initiatives to create or preserve 50,000 affordable housing units by 2030. Sheree Bouchee oversaw the plan and we talked about how Phoenix will reach its housing goals.
