ASU Gammage plans for life after COVID-19

More from this show

We check in with our former ‘Art in the 48’ guest, Colleen Jennings-Roggensack of ASU Gammage Theatre. ASU Gammage canceled its upcoming season, including the return of “Hamilton” and the long-anticipated “Come from Away.” Colleen shares how difficult that decision was, what precautions they plan to take when the new season begins and what musicals are coming in 2021.

Colleen says her first thoughts in March was that they would figure out the virus by June. Instead, while there was news about the virus every day, she gradually came to the decision that the Broadway season was not going to happen. Colleen hopes to re-open the theater by March of next year. In the meantime, Gammage is hosting Camp Broadway for kids from all over through ASU Synch.
