New effort focused on educating students about mental health

More from this show

Speak Up, Stand Up, Save a Life‘ is an effort focused on the mental health of young students, who can often feel isolated, depressed and disconnected during the COVID pandemic. Gina Godbehere, who works at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, talks more about the program.

Godbehere sees a trend in school shootings or tragedies with mental health. She says that there’s always warning signs and despite this nobody speaks up about it. It is largely due to the culture created to “mind your own business.”
