The Concert Truck is coming to Chandler

More from this show

The Chandler Center for the Arts is bringing The Concert Truck to the community of Chandler for three unique performances in various locations.

Michelle Mac Lennan, General Manager of Chandler Center for the Arts and The Concert Truck, joined “Arizona Horizon” to discuss the upcoming events that The Concert Truck is planning to hold.

The Concert Truck is a traveling music venue that will be free of charge and made available for anyone to enjoy. The venue is meant to strengthen the community by reshaping the concert experience and making live music accessible to everyone.

The Concert Truck started after pianists Nick Luby and Susan Zhang turned a 16-foot box into a mobile concert hall. The truck has lights, a sound system and a piano.

Performances have been held all across the country in city streets, music and art festivals, schools, neighborhoods, etc.

The Concert Truck created an online children’s show that has been presented to over 55,000 students in North Carolina schools. The truck has also worked with major music institutions to mentor young artists in community engagement and entrepreneurship.

The event will be held on October 17, 19 and 20 in various locations.
