Free Arizona program builds parenting skills and school readiness
June 24
The Parents as Teachers program from Arizona Children’s Association is a free, in-home service that helps moms and families in Southern Arizona build confidence, gain parenting tools, and ensure their children are hitting key developmental milestones. It also helps prevent child abuse and neglect, detect health or developmental concerns early, and prepare children for success before they even step foot in a classroom. DeaAnna Carpenter is a Family Education & Support Services and Parent Educator at Arizona’s Children Association who works with young parents with babies and children up to the age of five. The services are free. The program is available to all families with children from birth to 5 years old.
DeaAnna Carpenter, Parent Educator at Arizona’s Children Association, joins Arizona Horizon to share more information about the program.
