Sherlock Holmes has been described as “the greatest detective who never lived.” How has this ever-popular detective influenced modern-day crime solving, espionage and even space travel?

“The Real Sherlock Holmes” airs Thursday, May 30 at 8 p.m. on Arizona PBS. It reveals the hidden side of Holmes’ legacy through exclusive interviews, reconstructions and memorable clips from popular TV shows and books through the years.
