Join us at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2027, for an afternoon of delicious dining, engaging conversation and support for quality programming.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Al Roker, the Emmy® award-winning weather anchor and longtime co-host of NBC’s “TODAY.”
Roker will share stories from his broadcasting career, discuss the importance of science education and highlight the impact public media has on communities nationwide.
Roker has created the PBS KIDS series “Weather Hunters,” inspiring children to explore weather, science and the natural world. Learn more about “Weather Hunters” below.
Joining Roker throughout the luncheon will be Arizona PBS personalities Ted Simons, Catherine Anaya, Kristen Keogh and Chef Mark Tarbell, offering behind-the-scenes stories from the station’s local productions and the people who bring them to life.
The Arizona PBS Annual Luncheon will return to the iconic Arizona Biltmore Resort, where food, media and community come together in a celebration of public television.
Last year’s Arizona PBS Annual Luncheon did more than bring together supporters: it helped fund 20 Arizona PBS summer literacy camps, bringing reading instruction, take-home books and family learning experiences to hundreds of children across Arizona.
As Arizona PBS enters a new chapter as a 100% community-supported organization, the luncheon continues to play an important role in sustaining educational programs.
Proceeds from the luncheon will support Arizona PBS’s early childhood education initiatives, expanding literacy, school readiness and family engagement programs across Arizona.

“Weather Hunters” is a new, animated STEM series designed to support kids’ learning about Earth science and meteorology through adventure and comedy. It aims
to cultivate their awareness, curiosity and caring about how weather and climate impact individuals, communities and our global society.
Created for viewers ages 5 to 8, each 22-minute episode of “Weather Hunters” follows Lily Hunter, voiced by Tandi Fomukong, an intrepid and observant eight-year-
old weather detective who shares her investigations with her family and friends, including dad, Al Hunter, voiced by Al Roker.
“Weather Hunters” airs weekdays at 7:30 a.m. on Arizona PBS’ primary broadcast channel, 8.1, or stream videos online.
