Set in 1920s Seville, where Teresa, a woman with a mysterious past, flees to a young girls’ academy with a secret goal related to the academy itself. Though the institution clings to tradition, its staff and students bring era-defining shifts and women’s rights to the foreground.

The 2018 soapy Spanish period drama, also known as “A Different View” and “The Boarding School” stars Macarena García, Patricia López Arnaiz, Ana Wagener, Begoña Vargas, Lucía Díez, and Carla Campra. From Walter Presents, in Spanish with English subtitles.

The first episode begins after the mysterious murder of the Spanish ambassador in Lisbon. Teresa follows a lead to a young girls’ academy in Seville, where she decides to pose as a teacher and applies for a place at the academy.
