‘The National Parks,’ a film by Ken Burns

Wednesday, March 12 at 8:30 p.m.

In 1851, word spread across the country of a beautiful area in California’s Yosemite Valley, attracting visitors who wished to exploit the land’s scenery for commercial gain and those who wished to keep it pristine. Among the latter is a Scottish-born wanderer named John Muir, for whom protecting the land becomes a spiritual calling.
