The outdoor patio of JJ's Delicatessen

Tour the neighborhood on ‘Check, Please! Arizona’

Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m.

Tour the neighborhood with Chef Mark Tarbell and three guests as we visit local restaurants in Arizona.

Bagels and sandwiches are on the menu at a father-son owned spot, JJ’s Delicatessen. A longtime customer loved IL Bosco pizza so much he bought the place and saved it from closing. And a Phoenix-raised chef turns his love of Mexican food into Vecina, a restaurant with bold flavors and a hip vibe.

In each episode, the show places the spotlight on locally-owned and independent Arizona restaurants. Three guests share their dining experiences and recommendations with one another, creating an authentic and insightful review of the diverse culinary offerings in the state.

Tarbell, a seasoned restaurateur, moderates these discussions, lending his expertise to the vibrant exploration of Arizona’s culinary landscape.
