Monday, September 29 at 11 p.m.

Guitarist Marko Topchii, the 2023 winner of the Guitar Foundation of America’s International Concert Artists Competition, visited Arizona State University in January 2025 as part of a concert tour. Born into a musical family in Ukraine in 1991, Topchii has earned more than a hundred awards worldwide, including over 50 first prizes in prestigious competitions from Spain to Japan to New York.

Watch back-to-back special features at 11 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29 as Central Sound at Arizona PBS sits down with Topchii and speaks with him about his experiences as a competitor and about his resolve to be a representative for Ukraine.

POV: Porcelain War

Following the special, don’t miss a new episode of “POV.” As war ravages Ukraine, three artists choose to stay, armed with art, cameras and for the first time, guns. A stunning tribute to the resilience, hope and passion of ordinary people living through extraordinary times.
