‘Horizonte’ learns about the power of art

Saturday, November 1 at 6 p.m.

At Aliento, a nonprofit serving students, Dreamers and immigrant families, they see how the power of art can open doors for dialogue and healing, especially in Latino communities where stigma around mental health can run deep. Through Aliento’s arts and healing program Cultiva, students and their families are discovering new ways to transform pain into strength. Ileana Salinas, Aliento’s Cultiva Program Manager, will join us to discuss the program.
