Go See AZ: ‘Check, Please! Arizona’ and ‘Trail Mix’d’ return with new seasons

Don’t miss one-hour of local programming from Arizona PBS Thursday, February 5, 2026, when “Check, Please! Arizona” and “Trail Mix’d” return with all-new seasons.

New “Trail Mix’d” host Kristen Keogh invites viewers to Arizona’s hiking trails to explore peaks, paths and hidden gems of Arizona’s great outdoors, while Chef Mark Tarbell embarks on a culinary journey through Arizona.

‘Check, Please! Arizona’ at 7 p.m.

“Check, Please! Arizona” is back with the premiere of season 13. Join host Chef Mark Tarbell and a panel of community members who place the spotlight on locally-owned and independent Arizona restaurants.

In this episode, three guests enjoy French cuisine at Sel Restaurant where the husband-chef serves innovative dishes inspired by his world travels and his hospitality-driven wife makes sure the experience is crafted to perfection.

Also in this episode, a mother and son team share their spicy Creole family recipes from CC’s on Central. And learn about 60 years of traditional Mexican fare at Manuel’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina.

‘Trail Mix’d’ at 7:30 p.m.

Join us for “Trail Mix’d” season 3 as host Kristen Keogh takes us on a quest to find the best trails Arizona has to offer, from the iconic spots to the hidden gems.

This season opens in iconic Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, where Keogh hikes the Wildcat, Lee Cly and Goulding Arch trails. Along the way, the journey dives into the region’s rich history, striking geology and the vital importance of preserving this timeless desert landscape.

In just three words, Keogh promises a season that is “thrilling, enlightening and majestic.”
