Gun control advocate: ‘I’ve had enough of thoughts and prayers’

More from this show

Gun control advocates are calling for stricter regulations regarding firearms after the tragic shooting that killed 59 and injured more than 500 people in Las Vegas.

Gerry Hills, founder and vice president of Arizonans for Gun Safety, believes now is the perfect time to talk about weapon regulations. According to Hills, the rising number of shootings in the United States needs to be addressed, and the best way to do that is to revisit regulations regarding gun control. Thoughts and prayers are good, said Hills, but action needs to be taken to prevent future tragedies.

Hills became a strong advocate for gun control in 1994 after her brother was ambushed and killed with an AK-47 assault rifle.
