Electric vehicles would have huge benefits in Arizona

More from this show

A new study on electric vehicles forecasts huge benefits in Arizona with more electric vehicles on our roads. The independent analysis finds that if one million electric vehicles were to be registered in Arizona by 2050, we’d see an economic benefit of up to $3.7 billion statewide. The savings come in the form of direct fuel and maintenance savings, and also in health benefits from lower greenhouse gas emissions. We hear about the study from Jeff Schlegel of the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project, which promotes energy efficiency and clean transportation in six southwestern states.
